Game Ready error codes: what each one means and what to do

A code appears, the session stops

A number shows on the screen and the unit pauses the session. No need to worry: most of these codes are fixed in two minutes, without taking anything apart.

The 4 checks that fix most codes

  • The reservoir: ice and water up to the line marked inside.
  • The connections: the hose clicks firmly into place, on the unit side and on the wrap side.
  • The hose and the wrap: not kinked, not squashed.
  • The wrap: fitted snugly on the area, with no slack.

Then turn the unit off, turn it back on, and restart the session.

Code by code

01

The unit could not calibrate the air pressure on start-up. This mostly happens when it is restarted with a wrap that is still inflated. Unplug the wrap, press it flat to push the air out, then try again.

02

A problem was detected in the air circuit on start-up. Unplug the wrap, turn the unit off and on again with no wrap connected, plug the wrap back in and resume the session.

04

The pump is running without enough water, so the unit stops to protect it. Check the water level against the fill line, disconnect and reconnect the hose at both ends until you hear the click, then prime the wrap (see below). It is the most common code at the start of a session, especially with a new wrap.

06

The air pressure has gone above the setting. Turn the unit off and on again, check that the wrap is fitted snugly, and avoid sudden movements during the session.

07

The unit cannot reach the compression it is set to: air is leaking from the hose, the wrap or the unit, or the hook and loop strap of the wrap is worn. Check that the wrap is fastened tightly. If the code comes back, contact us and we will replace the wrap or the hose.

08

The wrap has not let its air out. Turn the unit off, disconnect the wrap from the hose and press on it to deflate it. Reconnect, put the wrap back on, turn the unit on and press play/pause.

09

The pump is working too hard, often because of ice or debris in the water circuit. Turn the unit off and on again, put the wrap back on, and reconnect the hose at both ends until you hear the click. If the code persists, leave the unit off for 20 minutes so the pump can cool down, then try again.

10

Something is blocking the water flow. Check that there is water in the reservoir, that the reservoir filter is not clogged, and that the hose and the wrap are not kinked. Reconnect the wrap to the hose, refit it snugly, then turn the unit off and on again.

12

An electronic problem was detected in the water circuit on start-up. Turn the unit off and on again and resume the session. If the code comes back, contact us.

13

The temperature circuit has detected a fault, or the unit is running outside its temperature range. Turn it off, fill it with ice and water up to the line, turn it back on and press play/pause. Repeat up to three times. If the code persists, contact us.

Priming the wrap

This is what prevents code 04 at the start of a session.

  • With the unit off, connect the hose to the unit and to the wrap.
  • Lay the wrap open and flat next to the unit, not on your body.
  • Turn the unit on and let it run for 2 minutes with no pressure (the Off setting).
  • The wrap is ready and the session can begin.

The rest of the day-to-day use is covered in our article Your Game Ready at home: the practical guide.

When to contact us

If a code comes back after these steps, or if the unit no longer turns on, contact us. A dedicated customer service team stays reachable throughout your rental, and a member of the KOLDE team comes to swap the unit or the wrap if needed.
