Learn what Kolde is, who it's for, and how our Game Ready cryotherapy and compression service supports your post-operative recovery at home.
After surgery, the first weeks at home are critical. Kolde gives you access to the same equipment used in professional settings: the Game Ready cryo-compression device, delivered and set up at your home, so you can begin your rehabilitation in the best possible conditions.
Kolde is designed for patients who have undergone orthopaedic surgery β knee replacement, ACL reconstruction, shoulder or ankle surgery β and who want access to professional-grade equipment at home to speed up their recovery. The service is recommended by the treating surgeon.
Compressive cryotherapy is a therapy that combines cold and compression. Together, they relieve pain, reduce swelling, and support the return to mobility throughout post-operative recovery.
The Game Ready combines controlled cold with dynamic compression β something a simple ice pack cannot offer. Cold reduces inflammation and manages pain, while compression drains swelling. By addressing all three post-operative challenges at once, the device helps restore mobility sooner and supports rehabilitation in the best possible conditions.
The Game Ready is suitable for knee surgery (total knee replacement or ACL reconstruction), shoulder surgery, and ankle surgery. If you have had a different procedure, contact us to assess whether our equipment is right for you.
At the moment, we offer exclusively Game Ready cryotherapy and compression devices. We are exploring the integration of additional equipment (compression therapy, electrostimulation such as Compex) based on recommendations from healthcare professionals. Feel free to contact us if your surgeon or physiotherapist has a specific need.
We currently operate in Dubai only. Our coverage area will progressively expand to other emirates. If you are outside Dubai, contact us to check whether delivery is possible.
Order & Payment
02 β Booking
Everything you need to know about placing an order, choosing the right rental duration, pricing, payment methods, and insurance.
Select your rental duration and pay securely β directly on our website or via the payment link we send you on WhatsApp, whichever you prefer. A Kolde team member comes to your home to install the device and show you how to use it. At the end of your rental, they return to collect it.
Ideally, we recommend booking at least one week before your surgery. This allows us to organise delivery smoothly and guarantee device availability on your preferred date.
Rental is available in 4 durations: 7 days (AED 990), 14 days (AED 1,800), 21 days (AED 2,500), and 28 days (AED 3,000). The price includes delivery, installation, device walkthrough, and collection.
The recommended duration is 2 to 3 weeks post-surgery. Your surgeon is best placed to advise you based on your specific procedure. If unsure, opt for 14 days β you can always extend mid-way through your rental.
Payment is made online via Stripe, a secure payment platform. We accept all major credit and debit cards. We can also send you a direct payment link if you prefer.
Once the rental has been confirmed and payment processed, cancellation is not possible. We encourage you to choose your duration carefully upfront, based on your surgeon's recommendation.
No, no security deposit is required.
There is no automatic reimbursement at this time. However, we can help you submit a request to your insurance provider.
Delivery & Installation
03 β Logistics
How we get the device to you, what to expect on delivery day, how to get started, and what you need to have on hand.
After your order, you will receive a confirmation email with your delivery date and time slot. Please allow a minimum lead time of 48 hours. A Kolde delivery person will come to your home or clinic, install the device, and walk you through how to use it. They will arrive with a bag of ice so you can get started right away. For subsequent sessions, we recommend ordering ice through the Careem app.
No problem. We will reschedule delivery to a time that suits you. Contact us via WhatsApp as soon as possible so we can arrange a new slot.
Yes. We can deliver directly to your hospital room, to your home before surgery, or after your discharge. Simply specify your preference when booking.
We recommend 4 sessions per day of 30 minutes each, at 4Β°C. A Kolde team member guides you through the setup at delivery. A QR code on the device gives you access at any time to a user guide and tutorial video. Our team is also available on WhatsApp for any questions.
Our delivery person brings a first bag of ice at delivery so you can start immediately. For subsequent sessions, we recommend ordering ice through the Careem app. A standard 2kg bag is sufficient for one session.
Usage & Safety

Important guidance on how to use the device safely, what to watch out for, hygiene standards, and how to handle any unexpected reactions.
Stop using the device immediately and notify us via WhatsApp. Also inform your surgeon or physiotherapist. Our team remains available to advise and intervene if necessary.
As with any medical device, certain conditions may contraindicate the use of cryotherapy and compression. Your surgeon is best placed to confirm whether the treatment is appropriate in your case. Please also refer to the contraindications section in our resource articles on the website.
The anatomical wrap is systematically replaced between each patient. The device itself is fully disinfected according to a rigorous internal protocol, ensuring impeccable hygiene standards for every rental.
When the device is collected, our delivery person performs a condition check. If any accessory is damaged, an invoice for the replacement of the affected part will be sent to you.
Rental Follow-up & End of Rental
05 β Rental Management
How to extend your rental, what happens if you finish early, and how we handle collection at the end of your recovery period.
Yes. Halfway through your rental, you will receive an email offering you the option to extend. You can also contact us at any time via WhatsApp to arrange an extension and pay the additional amount.
You may return the device early if you no longer need it, but no refund will be issued for unused days. We encourage you to select the most appropriate duration from the outset.
As your rental end date approaches, you will receive an email with the collection date and time slot. The same delivery person will come to your home to collect the device. You do not need to do anything β they will handle everything.

Contact us immediately on WhatsApp. We will get back to you quickly and, if necessary, replace the device within hours.
No, you can rent our equipment regardless of whether your surgeon is a partner. However, if you are happy to share their name with us, we would be glad to reach out and introduce our service so they can recommend it to their patients.
